Flag Football

Flag Football

One time in PE we played flag football. That was super fun, and it reminded me that football is a team sport. Usually in PE we don’t play flag football, but when we did played it was the last week of school. So this was a special occasion.

Mr.E is super nice and let us pick our own teams. The teams had to be a ten on ten. One of my favorite times in that game is when one of my teammates was quarterback and he threw the ball to me but  my defender almost caught it but it went straight through his hands and I caught the ball for a touchdown! I hope this year we can play more flag football and not just the last week of school.

Even though my team did not end up winning the game we had a lot of fun. Something that flag football also taught me was that communication was key because we would not know where each other was on the field. Thank you sooo much Mr.E for letting us play flag football!!

Welcome to 90 Degrees!! First off, the name does not mean it is 90 degrees temperature wise, it means the planet is at an angle of 90 degrees. This planet includes purple skies, green grass, and fluffy animals. When you are first born you are gifted 20k dollars. The only way you can get money after that is to work for it. Let’s find out more about 90 degrees.

Nature includes the Lorax Woods, purple skies, green grass, mountains, and oceans. The animals are fluffy but there are no alligators. You can’t hunt ANY animals.

The type of government in 90 Degrees is a democracy, and the presidential term is 5 years. The laws are no guns, no hunting animals, no racism, no segregation and everyone is nice. Those are the major laws.

Some facts about 90 degrees. The currency is bananas and watermelon and how you get bananas or watermelons is there is a store that only sells those two fruits. The only way of transportation is from a ski lift or a gondola because you can experience great views. Our mascot here on 90 Degrees is a duck because ducks are awesome. One year here is 12 months because there is so much to do here and you need time for some of it.There are sports such as lax, football, soccer, hockey and basketball. The temperature is also 70 degrees even though it snows.

That is 90 degrees.

Natural Science Museum

On 1-27-23 the sixth grade of Durham Academy went to the Natural Science Museum in Raleigh, NC. We had a lot of fun! There are four main floors, the one that our grade focused on was the RACE part of the museum. There were posters telling us about race and how it effects the world. Other than that part of the museum there was a floor on animals, a floor on dinosaurs and my favorite live animals!! I liked the fish because when we were there they were feeding them. In the dinosaur exhibit there were huge replicas of different ones. Thank you Natural Science Museum for this awesome field trip!!!
